Beautiful but crazy children!

Thank God for our beautiful but crazy children. They are full of health and energy! Any extra energy should be sent my way! LOL!

Catching Up

Summer is almost here. It is fun listening to the children talking about activities to end up the school year and plan out their summer. Field day was today and Tyler was having fun telling me all about it. Of course he fell asleep in Grandmommy's car on the ride home!

Anna Lea's ball tournaments have been rained out. We are thankful for the rain since we will probably have none in August and September. We need to get the garden planted but being at work, the ball field, or the rain has made that difficult. The one good day we had, the tractor was not at home and the garden spot needs to be tilled again before planting.

The is a "goat dog" named bear that loves to come to our house. Tracy and I are not wild about this but the dog absolutely loves the children. He comes and plays and plays. He even sneaks into the house. I think he has help with that.... He is huge so Tracy gets him out or we get the sandwich meat out to "trick" him to go outside.

A lot has been happening, but of course now that I am typing I cannot remember. Anna Lea is not having fun being the oldest. She does not think she gets enough attention. She is just in the center of all that is happening.... Oh well, she will see that but I can understand how hard it is now that Tucker is here and I am not available.

Tucker is now 6 months old! Hard to believe. He gets where he wants by rolling around. He eats cereal like it is going out of style. He has started to sleep better at night, but still gets up at least once. He can sit up with the nursing pillow around him to support in case he falls. He also loves to swat his hand. Bath time is now fun and his favorite is to be outside watching the kids or dogs play. The farm animals also get his attention.

Change of address....

Not really but it feels like it....Ball season has begun! Tyler is playing tee ball and Anna Lea is on the regular season team and the tournament team (coach pitch). So, the ball park is my new address. If I am not at work, then I will be at the park! Seriously I think I am there every night. I am not complaining. I really enjoy it. It wears us out but it is fun to watch the kids learn the game and the confidence it builds in them.

Tyler is a ham and will hit the home base twice before preparing to hit. Even at batting practice. TAP TAP then the stance. When he plays first base he goes to the base, stands on it with 2 feet then proceeds to walk five steps away then turns and waits for the ball to be hit. That must have come from his daddy in order to get him in the right spot. Then his favorite is running the bases. He wants to watch the ball and runs slow especially home then smiles and takes off whenever the pitcher gets the ball and runs after him!

AnnaLea has greatly improved this year! She has possessed the skills just not the confidence. She has been playing pitcher (it is coach pitch) and short. She has a great arm and aim. Her batting has been improving. She hit a homerun last night. Well, not over the fence, but far enough out there that she got around the bases! Her face was priceless! It is so exciting to watch her concentrate on making the catches and good passes to first for the out!

Tucker is great! I could not have asked for a better baby. I admit that I was not overly excited about a number 3, but I can not imagine my life without him. He sits in the stroller and as long as Grandmommy does not yell encouragement too loud he is happy. He likes the action and of course all the attention he gets from all the little girls on Anna Lea's team. Learning the flirting game early.

We will be traveling around with the tournament team, so family, I will keep you posted.

hot or cold

I blame Tracy...it is completely his fault, his genes, all him....well maybe a little from me and my side. Tyler is STUBBORN, he is set in his way once he has it in his head. For example, driving in the car today and Tyler says, "I'm hot." So, I logically turn the AC from medium to high. "Mommy, turn it off, I am hot!!!" "Turn on the hot air!" I then explain that when you want hot air you say I am cold and when you want cold air you say I am hot. You are stating your condition as hot or cold then everyone will then know, Tyler is hot, I need to turn on cold air. WELL, Tyler does not see it that way and he will cut me of in midsentence to tell me I am wrong. Well, no worries Tyler. Your mom will continue to turn the AC to high when you say I am hot until you get it right!! That does not mean I am stubborn just teaching, right???

Evning at home

The kids just got in from "rat" hunting in the barn with their daddy. They love going hunting. I don't mind it either as long as I don't have to look at ooohhh and aaaahhh over the killings. ONe less rat is always ok with me when in the barn! So now I am just sitting on the couch watching Tucker watch TV, Tyler toss a nerf football around, AnnaLea read a book, Peanut sniff Tucker, Laci lick a pot from last night's dinner, and four loads of clean laundry just sitting there.....not moving....not folding themselves and putting themselves up....just sitting there waiting for me. Guess they will be waiting longer! I know I could hire someone to come in and clean my home....I am okay with cleaning my house but I would not mind someone do my laundry! I don't mind cleaning, but I ABHOR laundry. It was not bad in college when it was just mine, but kids wear and dirty ALOT of clothes. Well now Tuker is being held and I am practicing my one hand typing. I love chubby cheeks! Many things have happened in the last weeks, but Iwill have to start a list of stories to remember to share. Well the dishes need to be done and maybe after that I will do the laundry but knowing me I will find other things that need to be done more....

Why Uncle Jeff, what a Ford head you have!!

As you all my know my big bro Jeff is all about Ford cars. You may even be a recipient to his daily "buy a Ford" emails. I am always amazed about how much he knows about the cars!!! He was down Friday helping mom and dad clean out the flower beds. There was still daylight and he walked in and offered to wash the car. I told him that would be awesome b/c I had not had the time to get the salt off my car. He quickly informed me that the offer was for mom's car. :) I had to try. So out we went to wash cars! Jeff to wash mom's Ford and me to wash my Nissan van. We had great help provided by my little slaves. Well I am now educated about how Ford has the best paint and that no other company can compare to Ford's paint. Then you should have seen him when he stood back and admired the clean car. I am very proud of my brother but even more than that I am happy that he has great pride in his job and the company for which he works. I believe that in order to be truly happy you must be happy with who you work for since that is where you spend the majority of your day.

He drove down in his Ford Mustang GT Convertible (I think I got that right!) Well, Tyler was ALL over that. He got to ride with Uncle Jeff to Uncle Bud's to eat. When we got there he was, "Momma, Momma, Uncle Jeff has the most awesome vehicle (not car mind you but vehicle, Tyler is 6!)." "Momma, Momma, Uncle Jeff has the most awesome music (Tyler has speech issues so that comes out as Moosic)!" "Oh Momma, did you see it! It was awesome! I like that vehicle. I want that vehicle when I grow up" He is still talking about it. Anyway during this exuberant dialogue you could see Uncle Jeff start to swell with pride. First he stood up straighter, then his chest puffed out some, then the "Jeff" smirk flirted with Jeff's face until he could no longer contain it. I swear I could see Jeff's head start to swell. It was very entertaining listening to Tyler but more entertaining to watch Jeff!

Sick Baby

Nothing is worse than a child being sick! I absolutely HATE being sick, but I would prefer to be sick anyday opposed to one of my children being sick. I really do not like when babies are sick because they cannot tell you what hurts!!!!!

Monday, Annalea and Tyler got to hang out with their daddy due to a rare occasion down here in the southern part of Tennessee called a snow day!! Tucker went to the babysitter and I picked him up. She told me he was not feeling good but I shrugged it off to just a little cold where the doctor would just tell me saline drops and cool mist humidifier. Well I took the advantage of only having one child and ran to Wal-mart to go grocery shopping. While there Tucker's eyes started to ooze green junk. It was very gross. He just was unhappy, not screaming just whimpering. I then went on to McDonalds to meet Tracy and the kids. Tracy held Tucker while I ate. Tucker would smile at Daddy then lean his chin on Tracy's forehead and whimper then look up and grin then whimper. Bless him! Later that night he woke up with a 103 temp. Well I handled it pretty good for me. (I tend to overreact if I think something is wrong with one of my children). His fever came down with Tylenol. He whole head was infected! The doctor had to clean out wax from both ears in order to confirm a double ear infection.

Glad to say Tucker is doing 100 % better! He even learned to roll over and found his "voice" through this ordeal! He is now like his brother and sister and talks none stop!
